On September 23, 2025, we celebrated the 20th event of the Dynamic Pricing Community (DPC) in Munich, marking a significant milestone. The event brought together pricing managers and retail leaders from across various industries, including fashion, B2B distribution, e-commerce, and technology. What united everyone in the room was a shared ambition: to understand where pricing is heading and how to turn challenges like automation, promotions, and change management into opportunities for growth.

Impressions from the event

A keynote with global perspective

We opened with Björn Ognibeni, who took us on a journey into the fast-paced world of Digital China. His keynote showed how platforms like TEMU, SHEIN, and TikTok Shop are redefining pricing, not just as a back-office lever but as a central tool for building customer relationships and ecosystems. It set the tone for the day: challenging, eye-opening, and deeply relevant for Western retailers.

Pricing expert insights

The community thrives on diverse perspectives, and this edition was no exception:

  • Roxana Kratzer of Wesco shared lessons from her B2B and B2C pricing journey, emphasizing the importance of people and adoption in making pricing transformation succeed.

  • Finlay Bright and Louis Hampton-Jones from SR2 Recruitment brought the human dimension, highlighting what it takes to attract and retain top pricing talent in today’s competitive market.

  • Stefan Heuberger from Lusini sparked an interactive discussion on customer experience and pricing complexity. Without slides, his candid Q&A opened the floor to real-world challenges and peer-to-peer exchange.

Conversations that continued off-stage

Beyond the formal talks, the roundtable atmosphere encouraged structured dialogue. Members connected on topics like:

  • How different companies structure their pricing teams.

  • The role of promotions and discounts in both B2B and B2C environments.

  • Change management as a critical success factor in pricing projects.

It was particularly interesting to see companies like Lusini, Layer, and Zooplus openly share how they structure their pricing organizations, ranging from decentralized setups to hybrid and centralized models. These contrasting approaches provided everyone in the room with an opportunity to reflect on their own practices and consider new perspectives; a reminder of the importance of a trusted space for exchange.

A community that grows together

The 20th edition of the DPC underlined what makes this network special, and further emphasized the importance of real-word connections. Every participant walked away with new perspectives, new contacts, and new energy to bring back to their organizations.

We’re proud of how far the community has come, and even more excited about where it’s headed.
